Jacobs (Aintree)

CMS Surveys delivered a comprehensive survey package for Jacobs to support demolition and automation plans at their Aintree facility. Our topographical survey provided critical dimensions and area calculations, ensuring cost estimates for demolition and redevelopment were based on accurate data. Utility surveys identified and mapped existing services, allowing safe disconnections ahead of demolition and minimising strike risk.

Ground investigations assessed slab thickness across the site, enabling precise costings for removal. CCTV drainage surveys examined the existing network to confirm condition and determine which drains should be retained. Alongside the survey work, we completed small-scale civil tasks, including replacing manhole covers, during which asbestos was discovered and reported for safe management.

Working closely with demolition specialists Niras, we ensured Jacobs had all the data needed to plan safely, reduce uncertainty, and progress their automation plans with confidence.
